(Minneapolis, MN) -- Vikings defensive tackle Kevin Williams may face
cross-examination by N-F-L attorneys today in Minneapolis in his lawsuit
against the league. Williams and teammate Pat Williams claim the N-F-L
violated state law when they were tested for drug use during 2008 training
camp in Mankato. Both tested positive for a banned diuretic, but their
four-game suspensions have been held up through legal maneuvers. Kevin
Williams testified yesterday, saying he has never taken steroids or
substances that mask the use of performance-enhancing drugs. He told the
court the substance that was found in his system contained natural
ingredients that were listed on the label. It's likely that Pat Williams
will take the stand today in the Hennepin County Government Center.
