A truck driver was unhurt after his semi was hit by a train near Hanley Falls this morning. The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's Department says it happened just before 8 a.m. where 220th Avenue crosses the BNSF line on the west side of Highway 23, north of Hanley Falls. The truck, driven by Allen Stengel of Hanley Falls, had crossed the tracks but a BNSF train struck the back of the trailer and pushed it into the ditch. No one was injured. The Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's Office, State Patrol, Upper Sioux Police, Granite Falls Ambulance and Hanley Falls Fire and Rescue responded to the scene.
